Vietnam War Memorial, Westminster, CA (2002) |
The Vietnam War Memorial in Westminster, California, is unique in the world in that it is the first such memorial to honor both the American and Vietnamese soldier. Funded partially by a local Vietnamese cultural group and partially by the City of Westminster. This fountain is popular with both the Vietnamese community as well as veterans and their families. |
The memorial includes a central "eternal flame" in a cast bronze urn, surrounded by a water moat. The fountain equipment is located in the moat and delivers water to the weirs. 24 bronze drain fixtures arranged around the bottom of the water wall return the weir flow to the central moat.
