1880 Century Park East, Los Angeles, Calif. (2008) |
Built on top on an existing parking garage, this fountain was included as part of a rennovation of a 1970s vintage building. Built as a supporting element for the glass sculpture and around an existing vent for the garage, this fountain has an upper waterfall pool measuring 35’ x 7’ wide. The equipment is mounted in the garage below, on a shelf allowing cars to park underneath. Systems include a Reverse Osmosis inlet water filter to prevent the hard Los Angeles water from leaving deposits. Since the pumping systems are housed within the building, the pumps were specifically chosen for their silent running. |
