Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park, San Jose, CA |
Located in the former "Plaza Park", now called the "Plaza de Cesar Chavez" across from the Fairmont Hotel, this fountain was reputed to be the first "dry deck" fountain in the USA.
The fountain is constructed of precast concrete "tables" with 12" square glass blocks between. |
Water effects include Geyser nozzles and a fog system capable of three operating levels. Lighting is by four 500 watt incandescent submersible fixtures at the intersections. |
